Seminole Civic Center Suffers Water Intrusion

The gymnasium floor in this commercial building in Seminole took on water from a burst pipe. Since these hardwood floors are susceptible to expensive water damage replacement cost, our SERVPRO ASD applied structural drying technicians utilized a skillful technique called "tenting" to hasten the drying process. Extracting the pooling water is completed quick enough, it is the drying and removal of the hidden moisture that can salvage the hardwoods and mitigate expenses and shutdown of the facility. The "tented" floor reduced the volume of air to be treated along with the planks, and the air movers and dehumidifiers channeled the water molecules to the exterior of the structure.
