Mold Damage – Seminole Laundry Room
Mold damage in this Seminole home’s laundry room began with a hose leak. The leak was obscured behind the washing machine, so it went unnoticed for quite a while. The leaking water was absorbed by the drywall, so it did not make it to the floor. The drywall eventually became completely saturated, and water began showing up on the floor. Needless to say, the drywall had supplied the dark area between the walls with enough moisture to foster mold growth. SERVPRO was selected to mitigate the mold infestation. We had to remove the affected drywall and dry out the studs. We used air movers and dehumidifiers to aid in the drying process. We applied an antimicrobial agent before installing new drywall.
